While you work hard to support your family, the political class in Hialeah has been quietly enriching themselves.
In recent months, the truth has come to light: Corrupt politicians orchestrated a retroactive pension change to give themselves taxpayer-funded pension benefits. At the same time, Council Members Jacqueline Garcia-Roves and Jesús Tundidor—who are now vying for more power—they voted six times to raise your taxes and increase your water bills, while celebrating with luxurious parties and granting themselves pension privileges. That’s not public service. That’s self-service.
A Different Kind of Leader
Bryan Calvo, attorney and lifelong resident of Hialeah, has consistently stood against this corrupt system. He was one of the few voices on the City Council who:
Voted against every tax and water hike
Fought against pensions for politicians
Exposed the corruption around the pension grab
Refused to be part of the political elite
Bryan doesn’t just talk the talk—he’s ready to lead with action.
Bryan’s Plan for Day One:
Eliminate political pensions—permanently.
Reduce your water bills and eliminate sewer fraud.
Audit every city department to find fraud, waste, and abuse.
Eliminate property taxes for seniors over 65.
“This pension amendment is a slap in the face to residents,” Calvo told the Miami Herald. “[they] are more concerned with taking from taxpayers than serving them.”
It’s time for real reform—not more insiders taking care of each other. The choice is clear. Hialeah can either continue down a path of insider deals and corruption—or we can build a future of transparency, efficiency, and fairness.
Vote Bryan Calvo for Mayor of Hialeah. The only candidate with the courage to stand up to the system and the plan to clean it up.
